It was between Atonement and ROTK for me. But I own and listen to the LOTR scores, can't say the same about Atonement.

sans a few, this list is so pathetic. really sums up how much music scores have deteriorated in recent years and the academy's inexplicable habit of completely neglecting the category in general, along with the few scores that do stand above the rest.

I look at this list and am stunned that Thomas Newman hasn't won an academy award yet...
