the reason the band changed their name to The Killing Moon is because Kevin, who runs TheScout.net and who also is doing A&R for Fearless, is either in the band or responsible for signing them. Im sure this had something to do with the names origination. Just an obvious guess.

according to them, they all (the band) have hated the name for a long time, and finally thought this would be the perfect time to change.

I'm incredibly happy to finally see a Maine band get signed. these guys have an incredible live show and really deserve to get signed.

I've known about this for like a week now. They emailed me a week ago and the manager's main pitch was "They are signed to Fearless Records!" He wants me to book them but they are just plain awful. Fearless is an awful label too. At the Drive-In was signed to it but Fearless treated them like shit.

as far as i know. the band hated their name. and figured that it was the time to change it before they were stuck with it.
ofcourse this was the main reason among many other smaller ones... but nonetheless. thats it.
yes, the killing moon isnt the most amazing name in the world, but their music pretty much is.. so lets leave it at that.

i disagree. fearless is a great label - one of the few labels i feel when i deal with them is acually genuine.

Now that this band has gotten signed..what of their maine state friends lost on lift off? I don't htink that they have a label yet...and how come no one mentions them on this site? you'd think that there would be at least SOME fans of 6gig out there...
