- aarrgghh. Don't listen to the haters. I think I've said it before that like almost 90% of Americans get married. So there is a great chance you'll find a good relationship... eventually..(most likely not before the age of 18 though). The average age of marriage in the US is 26.
- To be pessimistic though, 50% of those get divorced, so I guess only 45% of the american population stay with one person for their life.

at this point in my life, i figure i'm too young to worry about relationships and love, and i'd rather focus on graduation and my internships and getting my career started instead of worrying about something that will more than likely not work out. but i enjoy sex, and i'm not stupid about it, so why should i punish myself for being single? that's all i'm saying.

i'm probably interning for the convention center in orlando, fl, just to kind of get my foot in the door for some event management kind of stuff and then hopefully i can get a chance with a place like house of blues or another mid-sized venue.. we'll see though

That sounds like a great deal... One of my buddies is the house sound guy at the HOB, he really likes the staff there (HOB Chicago). I interned for a multinational security corporation working in branch management and spent a month as the payroll specialist when i finished. It was pretty intense, but helped me out a ton. When I finished that they gave me a job as an account manager and put me in charge of 3M's headquarter's out here. I'm really surprised most colleges don't require an internship for graduation. They are so helpful and landed me a dream (well, not dream but pay and schedule wise) job.
PS - Im jealous you live in florida and I'm freezing my nipples off here in MN

yeah, my internship counts as entire semester, i have to have it to graduate. it should have been this spring, but i changed my major really late, so it was going to be in the fall of next year, and then i just found out that one of the classes i need to complete before i do my internship is only offered in the fall, which i didn't take. so my internship will be next spring, unfortunately.
but hob chicago, that's where i want to work. i'm quite jealous of your friend.

I'm pretty sure everyone is jealous of him. He definitely plays with the guys from Material Issue too. You seem like the kind of girl that knows who Material Issue is / were, because you have stellar taste in tunes, possibly the best on this site. With that known, Chicago is the place to be. Nothing beats it. I would completely suggest living in the city, it's the best place in the world. Good luck with that, I hope it all works out.
That kind of sucks about the classes, I had the exact same thing happen to me. It's even more of a downer because I'm sure you were completely stoked for graduation. Either way, it seems like you have alot of good coming to you in the future... mozzeltov.
