Contrary to the what the recently posted MTV.com article (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1514325/20051122/fall_out_boy.jhtml?headlines=true) reads, NO BANDS have been confirmed for Bamboozle 2006 (www.thebamboozle.com) at this time. In addition to this mistake, the single day ticket price in the article was wrong (in other words, take that article with a grain of salt). Also, to clear up some more confusion, the event will not be held inside of the Continental Airlines Arena, however, you can expect something cool inside of the New York Giants' practice bubble. Read below for even more details.

AP? Don't you mean "MTV". They wrote the article... not AP. It's MTV's job to confirm what they write about before releasing it to the public... AP.net isn't directly related to MTV in any way, and was just directing you to the article.

We didn't write the article dude, it's not our fault MTV.com had their information skewed. What am I supposed to do?..."Hey MTV, this is Frank from Absolutepunk.net. I was just wondering if that article you guys wrote is 100% true or not"...give me break, that's insulting to say the least. If a company like MTV.com chooses to go public with an article it didn't confirm, it's not our fault if we simply direct you to it. Anybody could've seen that article, whether we posted about it here or not.

Every Bamboozle update Absolutepunk.net has posted has been directly from John D. at Max Cruise.

relax. I love this site. it just sucks to read stuff that later turns out not to be true. it happens on a regular basis. all i'm saying that it sucks for a fan (like me) to read news that is later retracted.. It's not meant to be as an insult to you or your work that you contribute to the site. i know you guys are putting out news for the people. i'm the asshole so it's ok. just a misunderstanfing.

Not to defend MTV or anything, but The Bamboozle's website did originally say that the discount presale weekend passes were $55.00. This was before it mentioned the $2.00 facility fee, bumping up the price a little bit.

i dont follow NHL/NBA particularly close, but god forbid the nets/devils have a home playoff game during that time.

I want to try to make it out to this one. I was planning on going last (this?) year but the tickets sold out. Seeing as they oversold it and how shitty it went, I'm pretty glad I didn't go.

I hope Eli Manning and Jeremy Shockey go
GO GIANTS!!

im crossing my fingerts for Over It, Valencia, Cartel, Panic!, Lorene Drive, The Summer Obsession
I wanna see some smaller bands rather than fall out boy swamped by 100,000 kids

amen.

not about the giants though.

EDIT: whoever had mentioned bruce as a mystery guest has a very good point. he took his kids to the 04 warped tour at raceway park, and i heard bands tried getting him on stage all day.

He wasn't retracting news that Absolutepunk.net reported, he was retracting news MTV.com reported.

The $55/$57 wasn't fucked up in the article, just the one day ticket prices were.

god theyre so clever. max cruise are awesome business people, they might just reel me in. theyre going to release their a-list bands within the next 4 or 5 days. this is almost immediately followed by "limited time discount" tickets so nobody has much time to think about it. ill probably be there but if say anything and cassino dont play ill be pretty fucking upset. the lineup will kick ass im sure.
