Spin is the worst. They totally abandon all genres of music but retro hipster shit then they take cheap shots at everything else. When that approach fails to sell a lot of magazines they turn to Alternative Press and take one of their cover bands to move some copies to "the kids". I though the Alternative Press cover in October was pretty creative.

I love how we can always predict what band is going to blow-up just by looking at the amount of negative comments a band has from this site. One year ago, Fall Out Boy were almost gods. Now they suck. Go figure. If I listen to their last two albums, I don't hear much of a difference in the kind of music they're making, if not that FUCT actually sounds better.

But I've seen them live a couple of times, and I'll agree they're not always up to par live. But anyways, its not like they're the only band out there.

Exactly. Anybody that says FUTCT is horrible compared to TTTYG is obviously not listening to the album. They are being affected by the popularity that Fall Out Boy is getting. If anything, people should be mad because they barely changed their style at all between albums.

As a band, they haven't changed at all. I went and saw them live at Nintendo Fusion, and sure there was a lot more people there than previous times, but it comes with success. I'm happy for them.

I don't think they changed their sound at all, FUCT simply has less songs that touch me in the special place that a lot of the songs off of TTTYG do. I never liked Pete Wentz though.

Fun Fact: Joe Trohman lived about a half mile from me until he was in 8th grade. When Nintendo Fusion was in Cleveland they came and visited his old house, we saw their bus in the neighborhood.

they and hawthorne heights are pretty much the epitome of all that is wrong with music (for me). it is about more than just their actual music. it's their pre-packaged image, fabricated personalities, fake attitudes, the way they conned fans by signing to island but then releaseing an album on fueled by ramen, etc. it's very hard for me to think of a "celebrity" whose personality is faker than pete's. i just prefer to listen to and support artists and bands who are making music to make music, not to be famous. there are a lot of bands who happen to be famous that fit in this category, so just the fact that they are fucking huge has little to do with it. go listen to bloc party, death cab for cutie, eisley, sigur ros, modest mouse, the flaming lips, rilo kiley, the arcade fire, bright eyes, jimmy eat world, etc. bands that are on major labels and/or have achieved varying amounts of "major" success without selling their souls to the devil (i.e. becoming total tools, pawns in the game that is the music industry).
