my friend gave me the clap your hands say yeah cd when it first came out. horrible! this guy cannot sing. the intro is a joke. i went w/ my friend to see their first la show and it was ok. the first song they played was a complete bob dylan rip off though. the singer even somehow managed to make his voice shittier than dylan's ever was. i did enjoy the live show better than the cd though because the guitars drowned out the singer's voice.

yeah. i don't think it was an album track. the song was basically him playing acoustic guitar, harmonica, & singing really shitty. very dylan-esque. the rest of the songs don't sound like dylan.

also, not to be an ass or anything, but how do you get past the vocals? in my opinion, they are pretty much the worst i've ever heard. who gives a fuck if pitchfork says they're the hot shit.

they put out my favorite cd of 2005. the vocals are amazing. maybe not easy to make out but passionate and heartfelt none the less, listen to upon this tidal wave of blood. congrats to them for making it so big on word of mouth
