I honestly don't remember the schools I applied to. I applied to SUNY Stony Brook (which I chose to attend)...I think Siena College for the combined medical school program as well as SUNY albany's program and Rochester's program. I was declined by all the programs but got into all the schools easily...my SAT score sucked...but ya, I chose stony mostly cause I have a full tuition scholarship here and it's probably the best "bang" for my "buck" so to say.

i applied to james madison, penn state (main), university of south carolina, george mason university, north carolina state univ, university of north carolina (greensboro), and west virginia university (if all else fail school)

i got into all but psu because my guidance counselor is an idiot.

i knew i wanted to go to jmu from the start. the campus is amazing, the girls are amazing, its good in my program of study, and a lot of nj students so i will get a taste of home too.

I applied to Fordham, Manhattan College, Stony Brook, Albany, and New Paltz, and I applied to Adelphi, Hofstra, Post and St. John's because my school ran some thing where we could do it for free. I really would like to go to Manhattan College, but I think I'm going to end up at New Paltz or Albany. I got my acceptance from the ones I applied to through my high school.

I only applied to Niagara University because it was a no-brainer for me to get in there. I got my acceptance letter in the mail, Yesterday actually, and I'll be receiving an $11,000 a year scholarship, and the tuition is only $19,000. Plus, I live 5 minutes from campus, so I'll be living at home.

haha ya but stony brook is a better school and it's about an hour drive to my house (and I can take the long island rail road and be home in 1.5 hours)...

I also love being in a place where it isn't cracka central USA...for once caucasians aren't the majority...the diversity there is really something all should experience.

why not just go to SUNY buffalo? it's the second best SUNY and it has great research opps (and it's about a quarter of the price)....what do you plan on studying?

One reason: I don't know what I'm studying. So staying at home for a year or so and going to Niagara (which is actually a great school, especially for the price) is a smart option.

and actually there's another reason too. I love Niagara's campus, and I know alot of people who have gone there/ are going there and they love it.

Did I mention that for the 1-2 years I live here, I get to Pimp My Room?

My bedroom now is a bed, a dresser and a closet. And clothes on the floor. For the time after HS i stay here, I get a TV, my laptop, and digital cable too (we only have it in the living room right now)

I'm applying to Amherst, Swarthmore, Harvard, Haverford, Carleton, Macalester, and Rollins. The main reason I'm applying to Rollins is that it's in the state and I could use my Bright Futures scholarship there and come back and visit when I need to, but I'm still kind of up in the air on that. I may also apply to UF and FSU just to keep my options open... My first choice in terms of the best school for me is Amherst, but if you factor in location and cost I might just be better off staying in the state...

see my prob was if i went to a school near a beach id get no work done. also people who tend to go the beach every second of every day are usually the most pretentious fucks out there. stick me in a school with a good party scene and let me do my own thang and im golden.

kids who attend cal state universities automatically have their right to be pretentious revoked. well, at least if they're from cali.

i think pre-meds just function on extremes. there's a bunch people who party hardcore, a bunch that don't do anything but study, & very few in between.
