I think this single could be really big. My Eyes Burn got a lot of attention, and this song is a lot better.

I disagree, I think I'm scared if this is the single, because this song sounds like a filler to me. I hope they just made a bad choice in chosing a single cause this band is awesome but this song is soo awkward. I'll give it a couple more listens.

really? i probably like it because i didn't really care for their earlier stuff.
yeah i don't really agree with this as their first single:|
i really like their old stuff and this sounds far too poppy to me.
but we'll see... a good video could change my mind completely.
i really fucking like this band.

The rest of the album is really great. I like Monsters, but none of the other songs sound anything like it.

i am pretty anxious to see how the rest of the world reacts to this. It took a few good listens before the song grew on me...but it really grew on me..i really like it now...handclaps =

Yeah, this song is definitely gonna have to grow on me, because i think it's pretty terrible right now... I just need to give it a few more listens, because I don't like it as of now.
It's TOO different for me from S&A, but I'm not one of those people who doesn't like for bands to progress their sound. I just haven't gotten used to it yet... This sounds like more of a straight-up rock song than something like My Eyes Burn.

I want to hear this album badly, along with the TEN triple disc.

The beginning is weird and took me a few times to get used too. I like it when it kicks in to the chorus. Not bad though.

I like the song, but I don't really like "we are the monsters underneath your bed" line. I hope the rest of the album sounds different like someone mentioned.

This song sucks ass. I liked their early stuff much better. If this is the tempo of the record, then "take me far away, at least as far as this car will take me" from this band.

i was at the Matchbook/Gatsbys/Armor/Lovedrug show last night in poughkeepsie.
for some idiotic reason, gatsby's played before lovedrug, which didn't make any sense to me. we got there late and i missed the first few gatsby songs. for the part i was there, they were fantastic. but literally nobody new any songs by them. fortunately, they were selling Volcano in the back for 5 bucks so i saw a lot of kids walking around with it afterwards. Plus, my friends that didn't really care about seeing them changed their point of view after they saw them live. Lovedrug i didn't really pay attention to, they were ok. Armor for Sleep was awesome. they played every song i wanted to hear, especially "The Truth About Heaven", which, in my opinion, is the best song off of WTDWYAD. ben eventually gave the guitar to one of the tech guys and he just got on his knees in front of the audience and started wailing "Don't believe that the weather is perfect the day that you die" several times to end the set dramatically. I saw the lead singer, ben, a few times that night. when i was going to the top level of The Chance he was sitting on the stairs talking to security. i pointed him out to my girlfriend right when we passed him and she was starstruck. After the show, he was out back smoking with some other band members. my friends came up to him and congratulated him on an awesome show. he seemed like a really nice guy. Anyway, then Matchbook came on, who most people were at the show to see. amazing, amazing set. i never realized how great they are live. i'm pretty sure this was their set list:
Your Stories, My Alibis
Playing for Keeps
Surrender (New song, sounded pretty good)
Stay Tonight
Lovers and Liars
Tiger Lily (awesome live)
You Can Run, But We'll Catch You (I think thats the title. Another new song. This one sounded even better)
My Eyes Burn
Promise
(At this point they kind of walked off the stage like they were done, but their drummer stayed on and solo'd for like 5 minutes. they probably have the most incredible drummer in any scene band)
Monsters (Sounded exactly like it did recorded)
The Greatest Fall of All Time
the show was amazing, especially since poughkeepsie is Matchbook's home town. i cant wait till Voices, this show reaffirmed my love for them.

umm...dude...the lead singer of armor for sleep isn't named anthony. his name is Ben. you didnt make that mistake once either..so you're not going to be off the hook for this one.

I don't know why they took "Goody, Two Shoes" off the set. They didn't play it in Cincinnati either, but that was because Andrew had the flu and they had to cut the set a little bit short. It's the best song on the new album, in my opinion.
And I agree, Aaron Stern is awesome. I love when he twirls the drumsticks. Such a show off, haha.

First time I heard the song I thought "wow, this is Matchbook Romance?" It's so different from the old stuff but I really REALLY like the song, while I also really REALLY like the old stuff. I can't wait for this to come out, a must buy for me.
Monsters is a sick song. I saw them live last night and they played 2 other new songs. Both equally as good, I'm definitely excited for the Voices release.
