Yes, Virginia (www.purevolume.com/yesvirginia) have been receiving a fair amount of attention from record labels of all sorts. Sources are saying that the band will be announcing a signing in the very near future. Check them out and take your guesses.

Its a sub label for Island Records (kinda a East West type thing)
They are the 1st signing on this new label (labels called something steel i think)
They are also changing there name (something with a v i think?)

yes, virginia is actually signed to stolen transmission. it's a subsidiary of island records. expect BIG things from this label. it goes there, degrassi-style.

I thought it sounded good until I read the lyrics, which are terrible... or at least terribly sung.

Since when does anyone affiliated with Alternative Press accurately predict what's going to be "BIG"?

tight...because you sound like the starting line does not mean you can label your band Rock/Indie...it means your pop punk, dont be afraid of labels.

did anyone else think the front page said "Yes, Vagina" at first glance?

Degrassi...hahaha. I don't think I've seen that show since Jimmy got shot.
This band has the potential to be huge. I like them a lot.

i don't get it. it seems that, if people like Brand New or the Starting Line, then they'll listen to any band that sounds like those guys. but usually that means some of the similar bands will be unoriginal and just like the others without any discernable differences.

i've been good friends with joe since middle school, seen all the incarnations of him and brian's bands(madison chase, crown victorian)- this by far is the best. i'm really pulling for these guys because its about time some good music came out of long island.
and anybody in the long island area should come out to see Yes, Virginia and Envy on the Coast(another awesome long island band) at Temple Betham in Merrick, NY on December 10th. It's going to be off the chain.

These guys happen to be very good friends of mine, and they are extremely talented and have a lot of potential. Be prepared to be hearing a lot more about them. Their first EP with Steel Transmission should be out by the summer. Everyone should listen to this band and tell their friends as well. If your local, come check them out Saturday December 10th they are playing with this other band Envy on the Coast who is also amazing.

Haha, no, but the first thing popped into my head was the lyric from "The Night Santa Went Crazy," by Weird Al.
"Yes, Virginia, now Santa's doing time, in a federal prison, for his imfamous crimes.."

I don't mean terrible as in he has a bad voice.
I mean terrible as the lyrics suck and half the time he can't make it sound good.
You tool.
