System Of A Down (http://www.systemofadown.com)- Hypnotize: In case you can't tell, I'm in love with this album. Fast, brutal, provoking, and intense. Read my review of it here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=97964) to see me rave about it more. Also, buy this.
Minus The Bear (http://www.minusthebear.com)- Menos El Oso: One of the best albums of 2005, I still think it is very underrated on this site and should be praised a lot more. Poppy, driving, techy, indie rock from Seattle, buy this album also.
Death From Above 1979 (http://www.deathfromabove1979)- Romance Bloody Romance: DFA79 remix and b-side record is a must have. It's groovy and sexy, you'll be shaking your ass all day to this disc.
The Early November (http://www.theearlynovember.net)- Sampler: The sampler being sold at the E11 shows features 3 new songs from the upcoming triple-disc album: "Hair," "Decoration," and "The One That You Hated." These 3 new songs are boss and makes me very excited for E11's upcoming triple-album.
Other recs:
The Boondocks, Sunday at 11 PM EST on adult swim.
Star Wars Battlefronts 2 for the Playstation 2. It fuckin rules.
Fuck college football, college basketball is where it's at.
Red velvet cake, yum.

Here's this week's Random Recs from Random Forum Users. Thanks to all who helped!
Drew (chaoticXpunk): Halloween, Alaska; The Dear Hunter; Damien Rice; Rocky Votolato
WakingTheMisery: the jealous sound.; talib kweli.
Nick (EnderDove): Old Canes - www.myspace.com/oldcanes
Hundred Hands - www.myspace.com/hundredhands
Ars Nova - www.myspace.com/arsnova
The Jealous Sound - www.myspace.com/thejealoussound
The Velvet Teen - www.myspace.com/thevelvetteen
Statistics - www.myspace.com/statistics
Tony (Tanooki Suit): Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Simply put, one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard. Yes, with that voice. It is my favorite album of the 1990s. Lo-fi, alt-country, this album rejects any label you try to put on it, spits on you, then makes out with you.
Hot Snakes - Audit in Progress
Hot Snakes recently broke up, but not before leaving a lot of ass-kicking behind. Pimp "Kreative Kontrol" where John Reis sings such lines as "I'd cut off my dick / for kreative kontrol.". Powerful? Yeah, definitely. This shit makes me pump my fist without succumbing to bullshit cliches like most hard-rocking music these days.
Say Anything - "Metal Now"
The best song on the ... Was A Real Boy bonus disc, "Metal Now" encapsulates some great lyrics (like always) from Max Bemis, but more importantly, it's catchy as fuck and has a great sing-a-long chorus. Not only is it the best song on the bonus disk, it's also one of their best songs period.
The Unicorns - Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?
The Unicorns were a great Canadian pop band around for approximately "definitely not enough". Off-kilter arrangements punctuated by flute solos ("Jellybones") are something not uncommon in this amazing album, but they can also straight up rock ("I Was Born a Unicorn") to solid dance-punk numbers ("The Clap"). Simply put, this album will take your socks off while your jaw is on the floor.
Islands - "Abominable Snow"
Containing two members of the now-defunct Unicorns, Islands continues the tradition of great indie-pop with weird quirks. "Abominable Snow" continues the tradition beautifully, and it's also the best song by them that's leaked so far.
actionandaction: Neutral Milk Hotel-I've been listening to them a great deal this week. "In An Aeroplane Over the Sea" is slowly becoming one of my favorite cds.
Ryan Adams-I'm just starting to get into "Cold Roses". I think its the weather. Excellent cd.
Death Cab For Cutie-another band that's perfect for this time of year. Everyone's heard of them, they know what to expect.
Tera Melos- http://www.myspace.com/teramelos technical instrumental stuff. Lot's of stops, time changes. On the more exciting spectrum of instrumentals.
Gregory and the Hawk- http://www.myspace.com/gregoryandthehawk reminds me of a calmer Rilo Kiley. very relaxing stuff.
Head Wound City-everyone is listening to Neon Blonde, but let's not forget about this EP that came out. A very exciting 11 minutes.
Corporate Fish: Troubled Hubble- I swear that for the last three years I haven't gone a day without listening to these guys. They had one of the best live shows I've seen along with fun, catchy music.
David Bowie- His earlier stuff is amazing. Everybody check out his record Space Oddity.
O.A.R.- If you're into jam bands of any sort, check out O.A.R. Their recent album was very well produced and there isn't a single previously released album that falls short of amazing.
Streetlight Manifesto- SM prove that ska isn't dead. Every song off their album will get stuck in your head. Incredible.
Forgive Durden- Fueled By Ramen knows what they're doing. Every song off these guys EP is on the "recently played" list on my ipod.
Lish (charly horse): Thrice because I got on the bandwagon late. They make me hot.
Therefore I am, just hearing one song makes me love them forever.
March To Glory because they're catchy.
Mourning September because I like them.
and Sugarcult because they rock my face off and people who don't like them suck at life.
