as much as im taken aback by some of his harsh insults, its not like simon got up one morning, decided to be a judge on the show and automatically got paid $525262t y92706 whatever. they chose him for a reason, supposedly because he has an experienced background in the industry. and the fact that he is a businessman does really help to justify his circumstances. sometimes the power of negotiation (and of course his skill and experience in the industry) does make the millions for the man. you can be a hell of a good --insert prestigious career-, but if you're not a smart businessman, then you're not going to get anywhere and you sure arent going to get $35 million.

I agree both of them were smart. The thing that you aren't seeing is they were afforded the opportunity. Both of these girls had indisposable incomes at their fingertips and were already modest celebrities before they even did anything. I also guarantee you Joe Simpson manufactured Ahslee's success, she had nothing to do with it (guy's a friggin' genius). He also made Ryan Cabrera famous.

I find this number exagerated. However I'm sure he makes millions doing Idol, it would make sense. I think for a British man who sits on his butt insulting impressionable young people for millions just sucks. Blame it on network television.
