I'm a business student at Musicians Institute and I'm looking for an unsigned band to work with for a school project. The project entails that I find a band, and promote them. I will be doing media work, getting your CDs to stores, radios, promoting shows, etc. I'm working with A&R reps. from major labels so the teaching I'm getting is very relevant, and my work for you is free!
Bands in the Los Angeles area would be the best, so I could meet with you. You have to be willing to sign an agreement, saying that I can play your music in class and distribute your CDs. You have to have a packaged CD with at least 6 songs, and make 25 copies available to me to spread around to stores and radio stations, also photos, a bio, a press folder that I can give to people interested in your band.
