I dunno how I feel about this. I don't mind Travolta and Cruise as much as the next guy but does this movie really need to be remade?

Still, if it goes through, I hope it turns out great. Discuss.

Haha, for real though, I mean, I suppose if it was well done, it could be good, but Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a classic. I mean, how often do these remakes play off better than the original? Not very well, and sometimes they can taint the wonder that the originals are. Maybe I just hold such high regard for not only the movie, but both Redford and Newman's acting that I can't take my biased opinion off it.

Agreed with everything you said here. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a classic and the epitome of Westerns. I still watch this a movie a good bit.

I want to be optimistic with something that can be a complete disaster. I don't know if those are the best actors for the role, but once again, I don't hold a lot of beef against either actor.

They've both held respectable/horrible roles which means there is some kind of hope.

Tom Cruise is gonna have a field day with running in this one.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is fun as hell, but it is not the epitome of Westerns. This is a ridiculous idea; an idea that should be ridiculed.

Even though it's not the epitome, I think it's definitely important, not counting Spaghetti Westerns.

This is one movie I do not want to see remade.

1- This is probably a bad idea
2- If done correctly, this could be fantastic
