An Angle EP

An Angle (http://www.ananglemusic.com/) will be heading into the studio to record a 4 song EP from December 9th - 12th for release in the near future. However, this EP will not be coming out on Drive-Thru Records.

He Is I think. An idea I thought of was that maybe he didn't want to use up all his contracted releases so soon. Or another reason (stolen from sam on drivingthru) dtr couldnt afford to release another an angle cd so soon so they should just save the money for another band.

Chris Anyana (An Angle) sounds like Connor too much, and it's a sacrilage that i listen to it due to me being a hige Bright Eyes fan. But his stuff isn't bad at all if you take out the whole sounding like bright eyes thing

An Angle is some good stuff, however I'd simply rather listen to Bright Eyes or buy Bright Eyes albums I don't own instead of An Angle. An Angle has talent and I have total respect for them, but I just can't get into them.

I'm not too sure about it but it might get released on Under a Cloud records. It's a new company out of Sacramento that has only released one cd by Bridges but it lists An Angle's cd on its site and I know that An Angle and Bridges are really close. I also have to recommend Bridges to anyone because they are really awesome and Mike can actually sing.

An angle is a great band. Like many of you i quickly caught onto the whole bright eyes simmilarity. But once i did a show with them, and saw them live it was far beyond any bright eyes performance i have ever seen. It was a great set, but not only that, the band themselves and Kris are aware of what their sound is. To be honest, i was in a folk band for over a year and whenever we played shows we got lots of bright eyes comments. If you are into that music, thats the music you make. kris is passionate about his music, and thats the result of his releases. How many bands can we say sound just like blink 182? or just like fall out boy? or any other "trendy" band. its the same situation here, just bright eyes sounding artists aren't so common.
