soft in the sense that they lost a bunch of good players? It's the ACC, one of the top recruiting conferences in the nation. There will be a new bunch of faces that people will be disappointed to see leave in a few years. Those guys are underclassmen now. Still arguably the best conference in the country. Most of the teams have a lot of depth, including UNC, surprisingly. Ga Tech has a few young playmakers as well and it will be interesting to see how this year turns out. Then you have teams like Fla St and Clemson, who probably got better themselves. Virginia too. And I didn't even mention Duke, easily the top team in the country.

I was suprised UNC held it that close, Dee Brown shot pretty poorly from 3-point range though, 0-6 will not get them anywhere near the finals again this year. And Hansborough played well for UNC

First of all, it's safe to assume when a team loses it's top 6 players and plays the team they took on the championship that lost 2 players that they arent going to be as competitive, especially this early in the season. UNC hit a lot of good shots which they are not going to hit night in and night out. For example, Graner-Webb only lost to UNC by 3 points. It's that sort of inconsistancy that will hurt them a lot of games but some games things will come together for them and their talent will shine through. Did you see how poorly Marvin Williams played in the championship? Inexperience my friend.

yes i do think he's better. and i'm not just saying that because i played against him in high school. redick is a great player and plays with more intensity. i just think that g-mac does a better job of seeing the court and making things happen. only problem with him is consistency. but when he's on, it's over.
and i never said anything about umd making a run in the ACC. i just said duke can't beat them, cause they can't. let me cite last year as an example.

Evtimov has lost 20 lbs and it down to the weight he was the year he fucking dominated Manu Ginobli in the World Games before he blew out his knee. Atsur can shoot and runs the point well, they also have Cedric Simmons, Andrew Brackman, Bennerman, and a solid recruiting class. They have many solid passers and good shooters and that's all you need to run their offense. You are just another ignorant Duke fan. That's why we beat you guys in the ACC tournament.
Oh yeah, remember when Duke was a 1 seed in the ACC tournament and NC State beat them with Jeremy Hyatt, CC Harrison, and Danny Strong in Herb Sendek's first year? To be sure you are not referring to Duke or Wake as an all-star team. They have a legion of one dimensional players. Josh McRoberts is their only good all around player. You're lucky Demarcus Nelson isn't there to make 10 TOs a game since he got hurt.

i love all the "the acc is the better conference" remarks. please realize they won by a slim 6-5 margin with a sweep of (without a doubt) the worst 4 big ten teams (maryland over minn, uva over nw, clem over penn st, purdue over fsu). Granted, Maryland is a good team, but the other 3 ACC teams there blow. So I eliminate thaose 3 games...
Of possible tourney teams in matchups, Big Ten wins 5-3. It's not like any of those crap teams matter anyways.
