Do you like to rock all the way through or slow it down for a bit?

What do you guys think is better: 1) An album that rocks hard from start to finish (no slow songs) or 2) An album that is a mixture of both (some slow songs and some fast ones). Also, what some bands that you think does either type best?

Well i think a healthy mix with a good flow is better than an album with punches from start to finish personally. It adds character to the album, and should diversity on what the artist can do. The National's Boxer does that well. And i'd say PJ Harvey - A Woman A Man Walked By. Two albums i'm listening to a lot lately haha.

People say that an album should rise and fall, I think it should be all rise.
