As some might know, a YouTuber taped himself lipsyncing 3OH!3's 'Don't Trust Me' And Atlantic Record posted a violation aginst te kid so he had to take it down. But the orginal music video is floating aroud YouTube land, from various owners! Its not like the kid was making fun of the band... he just wanted to show the world his talent, the You tuber's screen name is: WasteTimeChasingCars, [ url is: http://www.youtube.com/user/WasteTimeChasingCars ] So, what I want to know is, Do you think A.R. went too far? OR do they have the right to protect there hot new band's rep?

Sadly, yes, yes it is. I was in my school's Mr. Mainland competition. My talent... I played Guitar Hero (wii version) on expert, without looking. It was projected on the screen infront of 600+ people. I fucking nailed it. (the song was Monsters by Matchbook Romance).

I got beat out by a guy who lipsynched Barbie Girl by Aqua.

I had a video on youtube. In it was a clip from the Hush Sound. My video got muted by WMG. THE FUCKING HUSH SOUND! WHO CARES? The song clip was like, 10 seconds long. Freaking stupid. Here's the message they sent me:

Your video, Taquito Bikers Trailer, may have audio content from Intro by The Hush Sound that is owned or licensed by WMG. As a result, your video has been muted.

How stupid is that?

I think that any reason for 3oh!3 to be taken off the internet is a good one.

Atlantic just doesn't want to promote crappy bands I guess :shrug:
