I love how they keep showing sammy morris block him 10 feet in the air.

They also showed the Charlie Weiss story where he called the play the kid requested as his last wish on at least 5 different SportsCenters throughout November.

I'd like to see more highlights of him whiffing on about 5 tackles every week.

If Bruschi ever gets HOF consideration I'll puke. The guy's been around for a decade, yet no one outside of NE heard of him before 2003.

I played College Football for 3 years and I think I have about as much consideration with the voters as Teddy Bruschi does.

His name will be brought up just because he's considered the heart and soul of a team that won 3 out 4 superbowls. He shouldnt get in though and shouldn't really get serious consideration.

I've had 4 strokes since Bruschi came back on the field. No one has put me on the news. Of course, all of mine happened to involve sexual fetishes.

Anyhow, I'm pretty sick of it. His team's going nowhere.

you guys suck, 3 rings, eat my dick. heart and soul of the defense. just a stroke? the left side of his fucking body was paralyzed.

first off...yes he did come back from alot. BUT...espn is talking about him TOO much...SO many players come back from injury and dont get shit. bruschi's not that special. no one said it was JUST a stroke. and btw, it was the right side of his body and he wasnt paralyzed...he felt numbness...

numb-deprived of the power to feel or move normally...notice...the word MOVE is in there.

paralyze-to make UNABLE to move

there was numbness...no paralyzing.

thanks for trying doug.

also, his team is going to the playoffs

because that says a lot. all they have to do is end up better than 7-9 and they'll win their PATHETIC division. any other division and they wouldn't have a shot. in fact, only one other division where they would even have second place.

the patriots better watch out, they have some HOTTTT 4-7 teams on their heels.

hockey0001

also, his team is going to the playoffs

And that relates to him going to the hall of fame how? They are going to the playoffs and its not because of Bruschi. It's because of Brady and being in the AFC east.

Doug

first of all, yes, someone (ashesashes) did say he JUST HAD A STROKE IT'S NOT LIKE IT WAS A HEART TRANSPLANT OR SOMETHING. also, some other retard said that HIS TEAM IS GOING NOWHERE. which, my response to was, well they're going to the playoffs. it's amazing how jealousy gets in the way of respect for the best coached/best T-E-A-M you will see in your lifetime. in this day in age, three championships in four years in the nfl is incredible, tedy bru was the leader of all three of those teams and has played exceptionally at middle linebacker for 10 years. you guys said yourselves that you'd never heard of him before 2003, maybe you should have been paying attention, he's been doing this for years. he makes huge plays at opportune times.

Doug
12/02/05, 11:00 AM
whatever dude, you knew more about his stroke. (clap, clap, clap) the fact that people hadn't heard of him before 2003 is seriously the most suprising thing in the world to me, living in boston, this dude's been a star since he was a rookie for good reason. he's been the most dependable piece of our defense for 10 years, i've never tried to make the case that he's a hall of famer, but he will get consideration because rings mean more than stats and bruschi is one of the number 1 reasons the pats have won THREE SUPERBOWLS IN FOUR YEARS. who's your team? the falcons? get a real quarterback.

ACTUALLY...i'm from illinois, i just moved to atlanta recently. I'm a bears fan. he wasn't a star his rookie season...are you kidding? holy shit dude. im not even a pats fan, and it's apparent all of us on here know more about bruschi than you do. he's NOT been the most dependable part of your defense for ten years, that's absurd. rings my friend, dont mean more than stats in any hof. if that was the case, every player from the cowboys teams in the 90s that one three of four super bowls, should be in the HOF. rings do help, but by NO means do they merit going into the hof. next!

I don't believe I was referring to Dallas. He's a lot older now than he was in NE and he can still trow a decent ball.
1) He was great for the Pats
2) The Cowboys are in first place (he's really fucking his team up)

HAHAHAHAHAHA people are defending drew bledsoe on this board. wow. this board is great. bledsoe lost the broncos game for the boys, the seahawks game for the boys and raiders game for the boys, my roommate is a die hard cowboys fan and hates drew bledsoe for killing important, highly winnable games for dallas, while i laugh.

Doug you should probably stop talking. I'm a Worcester native and a big Pats fan and I can't even help you on this. Bruschi has only statistically had good seasons in 1999, 2000, 2003, and 2004. Yes he's a great middle linebacker, but he's nothing to cream your pants about. I'd love to be able to back you up on how great he is, but you're overstepping quite a bit and doing so simply by making assertions and TYPING LIKE THIS.

Hailing an above-average player as a saint is a little excessive, don't you think? He has been a great player over the last five years, no question, but he's still not on the pedestal you seem to put him on. And stats don't tell the whole story, but unfortunately they tell most of it. How do you think voters compare players and determine who should get into the HOF or not? By arguing over immeasurable qualities? We keep records for a reason, statistics mean something and are one of the most effective ways to compare players.

But hey, it doesn't matter what I tell you because at the end of the day you're right because you think you are.

Yes, rings matter to get into the Hall more than anything else. Dan Marino will just have to sit out this one I guess.

I'm pretty sure Larry Izzo also has 3 rings. You want him in the hall too?

and you should be removed from this board for your idiotic comments. haha stats dont tell a whole story? huh. what? there's alot of players on the pats who have three rings and probably didnt see the field in those three seasons. they belong in the hall too right?

Cowboys 7-4
Patriots 6-5

So, bledsoe is the leader of a team with 7 wins and playoff hopes.. He averages 220 yds passinga game and puts up 3 TD's a game. .... Bruschi is the 'leader' of a defense that gives up nearly 26 points and 380 yds of offense a game. The only reason they will go to the playoffs is because they are barely mediocre in the worst division in football. Don't ever talk again. Your logic is wrong and not useful.

you're from worcester? i grew up 15 minutes away.

As for the whole Bruschi thing, heres my thoughts ..the man does deserve the attention he is getting for his *comeback*. He had a stroke ..and only sat out half of the next season. That's a phenomenal feat. Talent-wise? He's had an above-average career on the field and hes an incredible leader. This season, he hasnt been good. As far as the Hall of Fame goes, there shouldnt even be a discussion. Maybe put a cleat, helmet, or jersey of his 1st game back after the stroke because that was an accomplishment..but theres no way he should ever recieve even a vote for the HOF.

Yeah man, I was born there and lived in Lowell until I was one and a half, then lived in Worcester until I was almost 7. My entire family lives up there and I go up there from time to time.
