The following was fan submitted, so take it for what it is:
I just got back from an A Static Lullaby (http://www.astaticlullaby.com) show in London, ON. They announced that as of today they are no longer a band. They said they will finish the two remaining dates of the tour and then they are done. They said that they all just have different music tastes now and want to move on to other things. Joe joked about becoming a pizza delivery man haha.
However, the following message was posted on the band's site on Monday, so who knows:
Due to an illness within the FFAF camp, the dates for our winter tour with Funeral For A Friend, Hopesfall, & Love Hate Hero have been cancelled. We are terribly sorry to anyone who had purchased tickets. We will plan a tour as soon as we possibly can to come and make up the dates. As for now, our plan is to make another record. Yes, you heard correctly boys and girls, A Static Lullaby is returning to Corona, CA and to their home studios to write another album. When it is written, the band will join producer and friend Steve Evetts to make the album. Most of the recording will be done in LA, or so the plan goes at the moment. We are very excited about doing another record and getting back on the road. Sorry for the cancellations, We hope you can forgive us.

I hope it's not true. But, all the information submitted about the show being in Ontario, and the band finishing up the final two dates all works out w/their tour schedule =\

...and don't forget to breathe was the landmark for screamo type bands, like them or not it was proably the best cd next to glassjaw for that type of music. On the new cd if the screamer guy wasn't on the cd it proably wouldn't have been half bad but he was just a pointless instrument on that cd. Both singers have good voices. I'm not a huge static fan but you have to give them credit were credit is due on breathe they influenced many kids and bands to do the singing screaming thing good and bad.

I liked their last CD a good amount; I thought around half the CD was pretty damn good, the other half, not so much. Track 12, "Modern Day Fire," is catchy as fuck.
...all this talk about ASL has forced me to bust out "and dont forget to breathe" and rock out!

they lost their fans along with the release of the new cd, good thing they decided to venture in different directions, maybe we will see who the really talented musicians are when they start new projects.
well it is the year of the break up

I could honestly say that of all the breakups this year, this one would bother me the least

I don't believe it. Phil is a buddy of mine and I have talked to Brett recenetly as well and neither mentioned a break up. I talked to them a week ago and both talekd about the writing on the new record and the plans for whats going on after the New Year

... And don`t forget to breathe was one of my favourites for a while, cause they did what they did much better than others ... their last record did nothing for me, I loved the demo Radio Flyers Last Journey and they kinda ruined it (in my opinion) on the record ... but it would really suck to see them break up, cause I never had the chance to see them live!

i remember first getting into the screamo genre listening to 4 main bands. Thursday, The Used, Finch and A Static Lullaby. New CD is indeed terrible though, save radio flyer.

if anyone is interested in driving (or flying?) in for the Ottawa showyou can buy tickets online at http://www.tunevaultc.com/tickets. the show was 3/4 sold out, but there will be some FFAF fans getting refunds so it shouldn't be a problem getting everyone in, grab your tix oline or email me (revrock AT punkottawa DOT com) if you have any questions...

wow, next to glassjaw? i can bet good money and say ASL wasnt nearly as influential to "screamo" as glassjaw was. but i guess thats my opinion.

GOOD. it was goddamn time already. first these guys sounded like a shitty "sceam-emo" band (listen, just because the singer screamed 'goodnight my love' and then the other guy sang 'take this blade to my wrist' doesn't make them hardcore in any sense, or give them anymore cred than say, the backstreet boys) and then they went to sounded like a shitty radio pop rock band. big deal. they blow, their music blows. they never did anything for the progression of music. all you fucks that ever liked this shit should seriously drive your car off the road. if you can drive. might have to borrow mom and dads. don't steal your moms make up to wear before the drive.
I liked it back in the day when they were cocky and would walk off stage. Anyone remember that tour with the fight?

I was the one who submitted the news and I can assure you it is 100% correct. Right before there second song Joe said " As of today we are no longer a band". Then later in the set he talked about it some more and said he might become a pizza boy. Dan then talked about how there were no hard feelings between anyone in the band they just all wanted to do different things in music.
