Alright, so I'll admit that I am not a HUGE hockey fan...I watch a few games..dont follow it religiously or anything serious..but I love going to the games...and when I do..its usually the NY Islanders...

So I went to the Phily game last night..and for those of you who didnt see it...it was 4-3 in the third...Jason Blake scores with 0.2 SECONDS ON THE CLOCK

Amazing, right? The place went crazy...fans were out of their seats rushing down to get a closer look...but wait..no goal?...After about 5-7 minutes of review and replay the refs call it NO GOAL...but after replay both at the arena last night and on SportsCenter this morning...it was CLEARLY a goal..no doubt about it, that puck went it

Yeah. I love sitting in our student section at basketball games and hearing a few hundred of my fellow students scream at the ref when he makes the right call. Last week against LaSalle he kept calling charges on our guys so this guy yells "C'mon ref how many more times are you gonna call that before you get it right!?" The ref turned around and yelled "Three!".

especially retarded Islanders fans who pretty much like the Islanders cause they don't wanna like the Rangers...

Driving out of the arena...well...if you've ever been to an islanders game, when they win..everyone leaving the arena beeps their horn to the tune of "Lets Go Islanders"...

Anyway..a completely decorated car with bumper stickers, flags, banners, everything on it..came by, and it was a Flyer fan..the guy beeps his horn one long time, being a sarcastic ass...and yells...YOU GUYS GOT ROBBED...and then laughs

Now you mean to tell me thats biased?

Take a look at the replay...that was in, easy

It was a blade.

The puck was on the line after the net got knocked away.

For all of the know it alls who say it was a blade:

"The puck went in. Even the referee admitted it went in," Yashin said. "(Auger) basically said he blew the whistle right before the puck went in and that's why they disallowed it."

Link me to a replay of it and I'll make the call.

This is the article from NewsWeek on it http://www.newsday.com/sports/hockey/islanders/ny-spisles1130,0,2258431.story?coll=ny -sports-headlines

If you dont want to read the whole part...heres the most important part of it

The game ended with some controversy involving the officiating, when first referee Kerry Fraser ignored a trip by Branko Radivojevic on Sopel with under two minutes left. Then, it appeared the Islanders scored just before the final horn during a crease scramble and enlarged video reviews showed the puck falling behind Esche and crossing the goal line. But after an official review, a goal was not awarded. The explanation to Stirling from referee Stephane Auger was that he blew the whistle before the puck crossed. If the whistle blew, there should have been no reason for a video review.

It was a shit call.

Glad I'm a Rangers fan. We don't need to tie the game up with 0.2 on the clock..we win by a couple of insurance goals. ;)
