I agree with your thoughts on the album Garrett. It is a good cd, however, I will probably not listen to it for very long.

I agree on the Autumn soundtrack note and this:

"The record as a whole lacks a true climax or a 24 karat gold hit, though many tracks will delight, but easily holds together as a heady conglomerate of pleasurable tunes and top notch musicianship. As well, the disc also doesn’t boast much by way of replay value, but for each interval of listening, it will satisfy indefinitely. "

That's what kept it out of my Top 10 list for the year, but it still is a great listen when I'm in the mood.

this band is great. they're all very stand-up nice people too. if you have the chance to see them live do it. i saw them on elliott's final tour, and they stole the show. i've seen them 5 times since.

buy matt or brian beer and they'll be your friend forever.

eh i dunno if i agree with you on this one.
i saw these guys in concert last week opening for guster and i can say they were the only band i saw live that actually made me yawn. they were so boring.

eh i dunno if i agree with you on this one.
i saw these guys in concert last week opening for guster and i can say they were the only band i saw live that actually made me yawn. they were so boring.
they definitely have a lax sound, but not every band can be upbeat

yeah i agree, they were awful live with guster which made me not want to buy the album

I played in a band with the drummer called Black Army Jacket some years back. It's great to see he's doing well with matt pond PA.

i saw them play in ottawa with boys night out and a couple other bands and i was extremely impressed. one of the few bands whose set i never wanted to end. although, after only listening to this album a couple times, i'm gonna have to say i like Emblems more. maybe that'll change though after a few more listens...
