I don't work for the government but it's similar to what bank auditors do. We're very busy right now which means I get to work 60 hours a week sometimes. Oh joy.

yeah, i went to college to avoid this life, but idealism doesn't really pay the bills (i went to school to be an elementary school teacher, with a minor in Environmental Sustainability).

8 to 5.. Hmm, how long are lunch breaks?

At my last job, we didn't even have lunch breaks, we had to eat our desks.

In the US, there are laws about lunch breaks and regular breaks, generally stating that if you work over 6 hours you are entitled to at least one 30 minute lunch break per shift. Typically you'll get an hour lunch at most normal desk jobs with two 10 or 15 minute breaks in addition during the day. My current job doesn't follow this rule because we're under tight deadlines so they feel fine about working us 11 hours with like one 10 minute break to inhale lunch. We work in groups of approx. 5-10 people per job site and usually they'll order something in (or i'll bring my own lunch if I have that option) and we generally get only enough time to eat (at our desks), so like 10 min. before we have to get back to work. I take 2 cigarette breaks daily too - it gets me out of the room for few minutes whereas those who don't smoke rarely ever take breaks.

I'm really only detailing the negatives but there are some positives about my job too (like i don't have to pay for any meals, transportation, hotels, etc.), it's just hard to focus on those with so many things that suck about it. :)

i hope you do too! I don't hate the field i'm in, but the economy has not been good to my industry. I'm lucky to be employed (and in my field!) at this point. If I were independently wealthy though, I'm pretty sure I would rather be a caterer or working with kids.

In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

The summers are bad, theyre not warm or anything. I know a lot of people who live here during the summer when it's pretty but leave during the winter. It's not really that cold in the winter though (where I live) this winter was bad it was like -30 for a week. But theres perks like dividends...and who doesnt like dividends?

well I want to travel alot when and if I get the opportunity to and I've stared making a list in my head of places I would like to visit and Germany has been on the list. I'm not sure why, but it's a place I would like to visit. I also know this family that was stationed there and they said that they liked it, so I put it on my list. lol

I'm unemployed this summer. I have a huge sunburn on my entire back. I have ADHD. I love Dr. Pepper. My favorite color is green, and I love walgreens peppermint patties. Traveling and driving in my car makes me happy.

I'm 20, getting chubby and more and more shy. I dress in sweat pants and white t-shirts that hang over my stomach like a lamp shade, so it makes me look pregnant. I also have pregnant lady stretch marks on either side of my 'happy trail.' It looks like I have those gay tattoos on each side right there. Girls are not shy about telling me off. I've become one of those people who do not get the hint and persist to talk to someone when they hate my guts. I try to get everyone to feel bad for me and feed me some of that delicious sympathy. It's nice. It never works. All in all, I'd say I'm pretty down to Earth.

As long as they're the big raised dark kind, you can get a stretchmark cream and get rid of that stuff after you loose weight.

tell you about myself? i like this thread :) I'm 16 I'm the ''nice girl'' which really annoys me it's like people always come tome if they want something or need someting cause i dont say no. I'm a shy person and i guess you could say i live in the shadows of my friends. i'm also a small person (5foot) so people automaticaly think ''aww how cute is she look at how small she is''. In my oinion its a bad thing to be small people never get angry at you or blame you for anything even if they know you've done it :( i know i should be happy i dont get into trouble but it annoys me! i also hate using grammer when i type as you've probably noticed after reading this so i apologise. and sorry for the rant it's just sometimes it feels good to let go of it :)
