the ranking isn't based on total plays per day it's based on the # of plays for a particular song per day. for example: band A could have 10 songs that were each streamed 10 times each in a day and band B could have 1 song streamed 99 times in a day. band B will be ranked higher even though band A has the higher total number of plays.
