For Want Of is an awesome song.
Don't really listen to them otherwise too much. I like Embrace though.

end on end is a great album.
obviously fugazi was better, but this is seriously one of the best 80s hardcore albums ever.

Great band. I love how Guy spoke up about the term "emocore". If everything people considered "emo" today sounded anything like this the world would be a better place filled with less ignorant kids dressing all dark and cutting themselves because they're "misunderstood". People need to grow up.

This band is The Shit, not as good as Fugazi, but great in their own right nonetheless.

They're good. I listen to them upon occasion and have always enjoyed them. I'm surprised there wasn't a thread about them already.

Talking about Fugazi being better is in like running in circles. We get it.

Wow my computer is lacking in Rites of Spring material.
This is one of my top bands that I've been interested in listening to lately. Never heard. Will fix this soon.

I checked this band out a while ago, when I was first trying to expand my musical knowledge and tastes (through Wikipedia... lol) and loved them, but I still haven't gotten around to getting this album.

*thumbs up.
I listen to that song all of the time.
I wish I could cover it,
but it'd feel like disrespect to cover a legendary song like that, lol.
With the recent leaks of Moving Mountains, Touche Amore, and Balance and Composure, I've been also pointing everyone who asks me for those albums directly to their self-titled album (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rites_of_Spring_%28album%29).
So far, it's nine for nine -- every single person who wanted one of those new albums had no idea who Rites of Spring were. I'm still waiting back to hear what they think, but I'm optimistic.
