We just started tracking for our upcoming 3 song EP that will be called "Remissions"
It chronicles the beginning of one man's fight for freedom against an oppressive government that controls everything after a mysterious virus named Persephone killed millions. But he first must learn why the government wants him and why he has now gained telekinetic abilities.
First three songs on the myspace are back story as well as more detailed information on my blog
Music will range from metal to pop punk to post hardcore. It's just two of us and we are writing music we want to write so there is no set genre we want to do and given the conceptual nature of the lyrics I think it would be best to have varied genre on songs
Let us know what you think

We have completed tracking of drums and have got guitars about 1/3 of the way done. We hope to have a rough mix of a song entitled "Medici's Diamonds" up around May.

Finally!! Our EP is done and finished and we have it released out in the open! Though we are only, at this time, able to sell it through ourselves. But hey if you are in MD and in or around Baltimore we can probably work something something out. We are selling it for $5.
Also, we have begun pre production on our next EP. No title as of yet. We might have one of the demos up at some point in the near future.
We still have Chuck Jones vs Illustrated Radio up on our myspace, so if you havent heard it yet go listen to it!

Thanks so much for following the directions and posting your updates in your one thread. :giverose:
Reminds me of Four Year Strong meets The Graduate. I enjoyed it. Your concept is almost point on point with V for Vendetta though.

I really liked the song on the myspace there, shame I can't get ahold of the EP, being in the UK.

The EP's awesome, I really look forward to a full-length. I'm just going back over the songs to get a sort of context within a story. I'm guessing you guy listened to Razia's Shadow?

Yeah, we did. But I have mainly been motivated to do story telling through songs from Coheed & Cambria. But if you or anyone wants more info as to the back story or what exactly is going on in the songs let me know and I can send you a message on here

The whole atmosphere/plot kinda reminds me of Half Life 2, if that makes any sense.

I love Half Life and Half Life 2. This EP takes place in a city that is basically a lot like City 17
