Ever have a favorite song with an annoying or out of place line? Maybe you like a song and this is the line you got tired or first or wish it was over? I know it's happened to me.

Well on a Thousand Foot Krutch's "hit the floor" i really like how it starts and all but then it goes onto sounding kinda poppy/rappy and thats the part i don't really like. This is the only one i can think of right now but i'm sure there's lots.

Haha a lot of Bemis' lyrics for that matter.

"I had so much sorrow inside" from The End by Silverstein. The lyrics are actually surprisingly strong in this song, except for that one mediocre emo line...

Fall Out Boy's "America's Suitehearts".
The whole song, and maybe make it ledgible

There are a couple clunkers in Brand New's "Jesus Christ" that really hurt an otherwise pretty good song.

"Sometimes I wanna quit this song and become an accountant now
But I'm no good at math and besides the dollar is down"

There isn't that much math in accounting, Patrick...

Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet

"Does he know the way, does he know the way
Of the crickets that would convince me to call it a night"

Ummm.....why not change night to day, the rhyming scheme would work much better and just sound more natural. Everytime I listen to this song it irks me

The words "semen" and "ovaries" ruined Oh Comely for my friend. Doesn't bother me.

"But I don't know much about classic cars,
But I got a lot of friends stuck Classic Coke.
Down set one, hut-hut, hike,
Media Blitz,

Lets hear it for Americas suitehearts!
I must confess,
I'm in love with my own sins...
Lets hear it for Americas suitehearts!
I must confess,
I'm in love with my own sins..."

the bold parts of the song really do ruin it for me especially when performed live

There are tons of songs I always want to change little words or lines, but I can't think of any of them at the moment. I always hated in I've Got All This Ringing in My Ears but None on my Fingers by Fall Out Boy when he says "And I’m so sorry, but not really." For some reason that line always irks me.

is that really the lyrics? I thought they were singing about mexicans and scenes, maybe I should look up lyrics more often.

pete wentz is a professional song ruiner
the horseshoe crab line kills me every fucking time

also i would change 'it's the trees of this day that i do battle with for the light' to
'and the trees of this day cast no shadow on my stride' in fireworks by animal collective
both lines are cool, but the old lyric is much cooler

Silverstein - Here Today, Gone Tomorrow at like 2:22 there's a random scream in there when the rest of the song has clean vocals. It was a "WTF!?!" kind of moment.

Uhhh yes, thank you for this thread, cause I need to get this off my chest since what seems like forever now...

The Band: My American Heart
The Song: "Today Is The Number Seventeen"

There is a line in it...

"Tonight we drive,
tonight we fly like *butterflies.* (side note: what?!? dumb)
this is our time, this is our time.
So don't mistake me twice, mistake me twice."

Umm dumb... honestly, what do they expect to do? Fly like butterflies? Hi, lets flutter! yes, that makes total sense. stupid.

The band isn't bad, but ugh that line in that song, it has bothered me forever, and now I can let that thought lay to rest haha.

Thank you.

P.S. RIP butterflies

tbh, a bunch of Ben Folds lyrics. "The roast beef combo's only $9.95..." for one.

Yeah, a lot of screaming on that album is forced. Glad they recovered with Shipwreck, though.

It was definitely intentional. I really don't have a problem with it

It's called being unoriginal.
