May 28th , I will be graduating , in all honesty , high School has been a drag with stories of bullying and broken hearts , I met some great people who i consider my friends and I met some girls that I would end up falling for only to fuck it up, anyways the truth is I can't wait to get out of high school and move on with my life, I plan to attend community college in fall 2009. I am actually looking forward to college because it will be like a fresh slate, sure 50% of my graduating class will be headed there but oh well , some people tell me CC is like 13th grade but whatever I just can't wait to feel new again ( not anyway in relation to my love for TBS)
so what's the problem?
is it the women?
is it my friends?
well I still haven't found that girl , but I have yet to find even one girl , relationship wise but I know she's out there and College will be my new stepping grounds later this year, College Years here I come.
also just a side note, i am going to College to become a Journalist , i hope to someday to be a movie/music critic , it's my dream job.
if anyone has any advice for me for life after graduation , it would be greatly appreciated.

Dont slack off in school and dont worry about finding that girl. Just get out there and enjoy yourself
Keep the people who treat you right, and get rid of the ones who don't. This is possible now that high school will soon be over.
To keep your friends, you will have to actually work at it, especially if you'll never see them regularly anymore. Make plans for regular hangouts and catchups, or else you'll slowly drift apart.
Work on developing yourself first. Your studies, your confidence, your body, your sense of style. If you're confident in yourself and know what you want to achieve, women will natually be attracted to you.
If you like a girl, ask her out. Every day is a new chance to meet the girl of your dreams, but you have to put yourself out there and take risks.
Get NEW CLOTHES. You do not want to be wearing the same high school stuff or you'll look like a kid in an adult's world. Start dressing more mature. Get some nice, well-fitting clothes that you feel awesome in and it'll give you an instant confidence boost.

I believe that if you're constantly looking for what you want and what you don't have you miss out on the things that are right in front of you. If you're passionate about your dream and your future, then work towards that. If a girl comes along and she seems worth it then go for it but try not to look for it. Enjoy what you have already and your last few months of high school. Live in the present and enjoy life as it is. Good Luck! (:

just go full time at community college for a year or two and try to transfer. get a new job and an internship and keep yourself busy and i'm sure you will meet people and make lots of new friends. go visit friends who go to universitys and see where you want to transfer. this is also a good way of meeting people. basically, just be patient and just try to live life. things will gt better. also don't slack in community college and don't take a semester off. everyone i know who has "taken a semester off" never went back.

Best advice in this whole thread, especially about keeping and losing people.

I like your last point. I know when I see that scrawny kid in the over-sized, faded Nirvana shirt, I "aww" in my head.
Even though OP has months before college, get there early so you find a parking spot. I hate being late on the first day.

I graduate in June. I start college in the fall. I'm moving out of my house. My life is making a complete turn around, for the best.

It's kind of hard to start over in CC. At least with our local one, it's half of our high school, and you continue to hang with the same people. But if you can distance yourself from that, then more power to you.

take what you love at school, and do well.
be open to new people bc college and high school are completely different, from a social aspect.
drink. smoke. sex it up. have fun. you will remember it all when you are 70. hopefully.

Yet, It's all in how you view and enter college I guess. Your mentality on it.

community college is a bad idea if you're looking to feel new. the vast majority of my friends who did this hate it.
anyway, i might graduate college, the graduation that matters more, a semester early. it's exciting and frightening.

Don't be so worried about graduating high school. Do that when you graduate from college and try figuring your whole life out then, cause that's what I'm doing at this moment in time.
Jon, are you mentally well enough to be in my cabinet? I'm worried about the stress you've been dealing with lately.

No. Yes I am fit to work in your cabinet. I have an internship over the summer. I'm fully capable of helping you run this government.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad I have someone I can count on. This administration needs people of integrity.

Yeah I was sad to find out I couldn't do it. Indeed I am a person with a high moral standing. Who else will help us lead this wonderful government?

If only we had a fully functional government or the people to run it. Kassie09 will be the first lady.

Lucky you. Our seniors here do have the option to leave about a month early to do community service only if they have an average over all four years of a 90

ouch. that wouldn't happen much around here. i think we had finals about a month before the rest of the school got out, and commencement 3 weeks before.
