Emerging from Buffalos prestigious hardcore scene known for bands like Snapcase and Every Time I Die, SLEEPAWAY offers music from the other side of the spectrum. SLEEPAWAY combines shimmering guitar sounds with smooth vocals and piano melodies reminiscent of late 90s alt rock like The Gin Blossoms and The Goo Goo Dolls. Formed in the Spring of 2005, with an average age of 19, SLEEPAWAY has been compared to the likes of indie giants Jimmy Eat World, and The Get Up Kids. Although these are monumental or even outlandish assertions, their pristine self titled debut (out 6/06/06) clearly backs this up with a solid collection of 10 tracks each equally as strong as the next. With a diverse array of fans, SLEEPAWAY is ready to show the world that Buffalo, NY has more to offer than hardcore, cold climate, and hot wings.
