With the upcoming release of The Fashion’s first EP titled “Start the Show,” the band is ready to do just that. But it seems as if the show has already started for The Fashion, who formed in mid 2004 in a little Ohio town. They immediately started taking on crowds with their funk-hardcore hybrid, playing across the Eastern United States with such bands as Midtown, Saves the Day, Boys Night Out, Armor for Sleep, A Thorn for Every Heart, Hot Rod Circuit, and Emanuel. A little different than other bands in their scene, The Fashion focuses a little less on the subject of girls, and a little more on subject of self-discovery. But then again, the band has never wanted to fit in with the crowd. After creating a buzz for themselves, the band decided to sign a deal with Pittsburgh based Overthrow Records to help get their record out, and immediately went to record their first masterpiece. Soon after, they embarked on their first tour, going down the whole east coast with good friends Abbott Hayes. This is where the real talent of this band shines through, their live show is a barrage of equal parts dancing and thrashing. And no two shows are ever the same, so expect the unexpected if you come witness a performance. The disc represents the band well with a sound both ear shattering and grooving at the same time. And this is only the beginning; The Fashion is just getting started. You better watch your back…
