Ex Animus

An incomplete poem. Ex Animus is a musical project based in Howard County members, with members from around the area. These members include Mark Overbey, Ryan Briese, Michael Raines, Andrew Heater, and Jon Dukes. The band is currently working on their first album titled "And Your Flesh Shall Be A Great Poem" a bridge connecting front man Overbey's love for beautiful scenery and selective writing styles and poetry. The album will be 11 songs and include guest vocals from Jordan Coley, frontman of Repress the Cadence, and An Echo Revealed Our Scheme (a superband in which Overby is a contributing part of) The album is expected to be released on October 31st 2009, following a massive viral marketing campaign the band is working on now. Their style can best be described as indie with a hint of hardcore. The different stylings of guitar mix together to bring an almost psychedeliic sound, with strong drums and a melody driven bass behind, the band is sure to go far. The group has played shows with such bands as L'ore, I Am the Sculptor, and Death of Something Beautiful.
