The Billboard No Age are a duo of noisy, abrasive garage-punks from Los Angeles, California, who previously played in the hardcore band Wives. Their style of obscurred, crunchy songwriting is often referred to as "no-fi", implying that it is a grade below low definition. However, anybody who's listened to the band's two albums knows there are songs beneath all that ambiance, and though the songs often require patience, there's a lot of youthful energy bursting from these simple guitar and drum tracks.
Dean Allen Spunt plays drums and sings and Randy Randall plays guitar. That's all.
No Age have gained a lot of popularity by performing at Pitchfork Media Festival in 2008 and at Lollapalooza in 2009. At Lollapalooza, Randy Randall played the entire set in a sling because he'd dislocated his shoulder. Punk rock!
