this is very different, which may be a good thing, but this doesn't sound like the crazy, ambient, technical dredg, it sounds a bit poppy. i still have very high hopes for this record and im sure the song will grow on me with time. el cielo is one of my all time fav cds.

Huge fan. This is definitely not what I expected but that's a good thing - very refreshing pure rock.

Dredg is such a great band. They are in my top 3 absolutely. The new album should be decent but, from what I've heard, it sounds pretty similar to "Catch..." which was a phenomenal album; "Ode to the Sun" was fucking GENIUS and the rest of it was just as well, in my humble opinion. Although there was that fun little oddball, "Zebra Skin", which I am still not quite sure what to make of, but I love that song simply for that reason. Anyhoo, I hope that they really roll the dice on a future album and do something really interesting; I mean, no offense, Dredg, you're my favorite band, but I am under the impression that you're playing it a little safe on this new one coming out. However, I am greatful that you put out something that I am sure to like. Maybe you should put out a really cheap, quickly made, experimental little something in between the upcoming album and whatever follows. Keep Dredging and let the genius flow! You are holy men.
