The Billboard The Artist Life have quickly become one of Canada’s most notable musical acts with their EP, “Let’s Start A Riot”. This five track release has gained widespread media acclaim for its catchy hooks and pop/punk anthems. Since its release in late 2008, 102.1 The Edge offered them their second FU Award nomination; this time for Song of the Year, Japan's Boundee Records put out a Japanese version, MTV Live witnessed a raucous studio performance and Chartattack.com raved after their sold-out CMW appearance.
Proving that they write exceptional songs, the band stripped it down turning "Let's Start A Riot" into an acoustic version (“Let’s Start A Campfire”) that is not only genuine but truly heart warming. This sparked the release of bright red, 180g vinyl with "Let's Start A Riot" on Side A and "Let's Start A Campfire" on Side B (to be release early November).
Having toured relentlessly with some of music's finest and have just completed a Western Canadian tour with Paper & Plastick’s A Wilhelm Scream, The Artist Life is gearing up for a full-Canadian tour with Stereos and The Midway State to conclude 2009. The tour will coincide with the release of their title track video directed and starring Jason Mewes (of the Jay & Silent Bob fame.)
Watch for them on the upcoming Degrassi movie and for their debut full length early 2010.
