"Somewhere between the tough guy metalcore bands and the fly-by-night indie bands, Drowning Scarlett are happy to be in the middle ground. Their songs change from one to the next, each sounding like one of their many different influences,while still having a sound all their own. The band has managed to stay together since 2005, despite numerous guitar player changes and rumors of turmoil between members.
Drowning Scarlett are a band that seem to love playing with extremes,both with their sound and their personal lives. They seem on the verge of imploding with every passing day, but they continue to make catchy rock music like its going out of style. And if it does, the band will be just fine with watching the scene burn down from afar,all the while still thrashing away on their respective instruments.
