The Billboard
Officially forming in late 2007 under the name Making Waves, the original trio of vocalist/guitarist Keith Dueck, drummer Kev Klassen and bassist TJ Stevenson started generating a local buzz before they even released their debut EP in early 2008. Despite the early popularity, something just wasn't jiving, so as the band lost TJ to pursue other musical interests, the band gained longtime friend and local musician Ryan Roemer to take over on bass.

Within months, the new line-up was Making Waves...pun intended...all across Western Canada and continued to do so for two years playing with established Canadian/US acts including Living With Lions, Carpenter, The Flatliners, Cobra Skulls, Lemuria and Broadway Calls as well as for great events like Winnipeg's own Skate4Cancer.

By April 2010, the second run of the band had the continuous momentum not nearly enough local bands experience, though individual choices interfered and the band known as Making Waves called it quits...but not in a permanent sense.

Allowing their passion for the music to hold strong, the trio regrouped in fall, 2010 with a new name, new vibe and new songs. Now known as pop-punk trio Dangercat, four-song demo/EP Head In The Clouds was released, local shows were played and despite the fact that Roemer and Dueck 's bond was holding strong, they suddenly found themselves on the lookout for a new drummer. Enter Dylan James.

Wasting no time at all, the fresh, new, and hopefully permanent line-up of Dangercat spent the summer playing shows all over Winnipeg including the floor level performance space of Albert Street’s The Death Trap, the intimate old-school style Ellice Theatre and the huge stage at the Forks as part of Skate4Cancer. No matter the size of the venue, Dangercat’s members believe that playing live is where they feel most at home.

Dangercat will finally hit the road Summer 2012 in support of their debut full length "Where I'll Be" Due out May 29th on The Newform Label.
