Some people remember 2003 as the year 100 people died in a fire during a Great White show, or the year George W. Bush declared 'Mission Accomplished', but for Kansas City natives Kurtis Viers and Rick Robinett, it was the year they gathered to use 4 songs to summarize all the emotions they were experiencing. They recorded these songs, but they were lost when the weight of everyday life began to overwhelm them, the beginning of one chapter of life, and the end of another. The songs sat unheard, and Kurtis and Rick distanced themselves, until they started Our American Cousin. Our American Cousin signed to No Sleep Records, and somehow the EP recorded 4 years prior was placed in front of label-head Chris Hansen. It was then decided that the lost Jon Found Jesus EP would finally see the light of day. the [lost] e.p. will be available December 18th for FREE and will include a track recorded in the final days of Our American Cousin's life.
