42 Grams of Heart Attack started off like many other highschool bands; over bagged lunches in a highschool cafeteria. Ken Sousie the lead singer of 42 Grams and his buddy Marlon Fisher decided to start a band seeing as Ken played guitar and Marlon's mom played bass so learning wouldn't be hard. They recruited fellow classmate Will Spratt and started playing in Ken's house in Corona, Queens. Covering songs by bands such as the Bouncing Souls, Green Day and Against Me!, they eventually branched out and formed their own writing style. To help thicken their sound they asked classmate Robert Fudge if he would like to join since he had a reputation around the school for being a good guitarist.

In the summer of '06 to promote their new recorded "What We Are" EP they hopped on tour with Bronx-based band Pipebomb Saints for East Coast dates. They spent two weeks with the 'Saints and even after tour was over select members of both bands stayed behind for a few extra days in Maryland while all others went home. Once tour was over Marlon had informed the band that he was enlisting in the Marine Core and would be leaving the band, which was a huge blow to 42. They played a fairwell show for Marlon in the venue where they first played to a crowd, Queen's RedZone; Future Society were among the bands who played that day.

Now in college, Ken asked bassist Rob Owens (Frantic Zero) if he would play and Rob agreed. Shortly after finding a new bassist Fudge had decided his time with 42GOH had come to an end as well, forcing the trio to find a replacement guitarist as well. Will McCormick (556) was more than happy to join, and with Will Spratt the only member not enlisted in St. Francis College in Brooklyn practicing became few and far between.

The band played shows in Queens and Long Island whenever they could but were gearing up for their second tour with Pipebomb Saints only a few short months after comming off tour with them and rebuilding their line-up. To make matters worse, Rob Owens informed the guys that he wouldn't be joining them on tour and they should start looking for another bassist two nights before their departure date. Luckily, Jahoon Kim, a good friend of the band stepped up and replaced Rob for tour. It was week two of tour when Ken put out the idea to Davey Goldsmith (frontman/guitar Pipebomb Saints, also unsatisfied with his bandmates and the direction of the band) that once they head back to New York Will McCormick was out and the spot was being offered to him.

Pipebomb Saints guitarist Geoff Grasso quit week 3 of tour which drove Davey and Emily (PBS Bassist) to 42. With differences that couldn't be settled causing Emily to leave the band again right before touring was to start up again, the band recruited frontman/gutiarist of Future Society Mike Terry to fill in on bass.

Now 42 Grams of Heart Attack have completed recording their next untitlted release and have upgraded to a 5 peice utilizing Nate Wing on bass and Mike Terry on 3rd guitar. They will play anywhere for anyone, anytime. See you at the show
