The Billboard In February 2007, when Kiros began tracking "A Single Strand," they knew they had created something special. Each song had so much depth, passion and energy, and the maturity in the song writing and lyrics could not be understated. This was a truly different Kiros, and this just was not a record that could be overlooked. Multiple major and indie label interest was immediately generated, but as months rolled on, it began to look like Kiros would release this melodic masterpiece independently.
Then, on August 13th, 2007 (the day before "A Single Strand" was released across Canada), Kiros signed to Canadian label Torque Records. This signing surprised many, as Kiros had been fiercely independent, and Torque Records' roster was predominantly hardcore/metal. However, the instant success of this collaboration was demonstrated by the strong sales of "A Single Strand." Kiros' first video "Of Wolves and Angels" was instantly put into rotation on both Much Music and Much Loud, and radio stations across the country began picking up the single. The upcoming USA/World Wide release of the record on March 18th as distributed by Victory records, Kiros' signing with US Booking Agency "ISO Group," and a 32 date USA CD release tour that has Kiros opening up for The Audition (Victory Records) proves that Kiros is soaring to new heights!
The band’s proven track record of dedication, passion and perseverance speaks volumes about Kiros and its members, as does the countless amounts of loyal fans. And while their clean-cut reputation seems to follow them wherever they go, it’s the band’s unique messages of hope, love, faith and purpose that far separate them from their musical counterparts. Not only are these characteristics brought forth in honest and relatable songs, but through the personalities of the band members themselves.
Fans come to Kiros not only for their musical ingenuity, soaring melodies, and "lyrics you wish you wrote", but also to find anthems to rise up alongside, to take back their souls and feel their sense of worth.
