LIKE A FANTASY - The debut album from The Bolts, scheduled to be released on May 3rd of 2008, is packed with head-turning vocal harmonies, thumping rhythms, and infectious melodies that are bound to make anyone rethink their current engagements and allow themselves to vulnerably fall foolish to the addictive music that is influenced by pop culture giants such as The Strokes, The Killers, Muse, My Chemical Romance and many other catchy, youthful, and fun artists.
With a variety of styles ranging from feel-good pop-rock songs like "Til the Day I Die", to grooving hard rock beats as exemplified in "She Don't Know What She Means", to sing-a-long anthems like "The Art of Apathy", The Bolts have created a collection of tunes that appeals to individuals of every different background, age, and preference of genre.
WHO ARE THE BOLTS? - The Bolts is founded by brothers Addam Farmer, Heath Farmer and Austin Farmer (Fall 2007). While spending years performing and writing music for many of their other groups, the three Farmer brothers decided to invest the majority of their time, wits, and creativity in a group that featured the three of them together along with their good friends and talented musicians Ryan Kilpatrick and Matt Champagne.
After being together for only four months, demo versions of The Bolts’ original songs, “Like a Fantasy” and “She Don’t Know What She Means”, had earned the young quintet semi-regular radio rotation on Los Angeles and Orange County’s mainstream rock radio station, KROQ 106.7FM on the Locals Only Hour. Soon after, The Bolts quickly started gaining recognition from their local press, communities, and peers. With headlines like “The Bolts strike quickly”, “The Bolts’ rep heats up” and “Irvine’s precocious Bolts show telltale signs of maturity” from major local newspapers including the OC Register and OC Post, excitement for the indie band had been prolonged. A couple months later, The Bolts had earned themselves a primetime spot on the Bamboozle Left festival held at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The Bolts currently have four original songs, "Dead of the Night", "Like a Fantasy", "She Don't Know What She Means", & "Hero in Disguise" on regular radio rotation on well known stations including KROQ and National Lampoon Radio amongst other FM and college radio stations. The Bolts continue to promote themselves and push their potential to the limits.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THE BOLTS FROM OTHER ARTISTS? - The Bolts have a variety of styles, catchy musical hooks, and heart-felt lyrics that allow for a very wide appeal and can be enjoyed by everyone. The group has a set list of well over 50 songs including originals and covers which make great for school dances, festivals, company parties, weddings, grad nights, birthdays, and many other private, as well as public, events (in addition to nightclub gigs featuring set lists primarily made up of originals). With lots of stage presence, crowd interaction, and exceptional musicianship, The Bolts provide a fun and crowd-friendly performance that keeps fans coming back for more.
A WORD FROM HEATH FARMER OF THE BOLTS - "Thank you for taking the time to engage your interest in us! We are very serious about what we do and all have made this band the top priority in our lives next to our relationships with God. We won't let anything hold us back from doing what we believe we are meant to do: make it to the top and leave a residing boom in the hearts of billions. We believe that we are really fun guys to be around and easy to work with. Who ever you are, where ever you're from, we're glad you came across our page and we hope to keep in touch with you!" -Heath Farmer of The Bolts
