There are many things that bring people together: Family, achievements, celebrations, and tragedies. The thing that brought together five young kids from Central New Jersey together was a shared passion for music. They let their passion for music lead them to learn to play their instruments so that they could express themselves through their own creations. Nick McAllister and Noam Hassid took up the guitar. Tim Haney learned drums and Scott Reis began to play the bass, and Jim Morgan began to practice singing.

In 2003, these five teenagers joined together to form the band Made In China, with the purpose of sharing their musical passion with anyone who would listen. Soon, the band picked up momentum and they began to find themselves standing on stages they had once seen their favorite bands play on. They played at Hamilton St. Cafe, the Birch Hill Concert Hall, and then the Starland Ballroom. In 2004, they were given the perhaps the best venue they could have hoped for as a young band: They played a day at the Vans Warped Tour. These kids were creating a sound, and people were listening.

At that point, the band entered Skylab Studios in Roosevelt, New Jersey in late 2004 to record their debut album. They went in with the intent to make music to reach people, as the music they had listened to in school had affected them. Made In China wanted to take what their idols had done for them with music, and give it back to others. The band took lessons they had learned about betrayal, being letdown, and standing up for your dreams and your thoughts despite what others may think. They wanted to show people that if you have a dream, you should follow it. If you have a voice, use it. They wanted to use their own voice and sound to inspire others.

In early 2005 the band left the studio with the best of their efforts put on disc. Called "Breakthrough Frequency", the disc uses 10 tracks to put their feelings and message out into the world. They will break through the messages of others who put down the ideas and goals of dreamers, and criticize the beliefs of the believers. On March 15, 2005, Made In China will be out to show the world to make the path you follow in life, not one that was laid out for you.
