A Day Overdue are an alternative pop-punk band from Glasgow, Scotland. Mixing classic rock melodies with a modern, edgy rhythm section the band have forged a sound of their own that is both memorable and progressive.
Having toured extensively over the past 18 months playing shows with the likes of Not Advised, Francesqa, My Passion, Elliot Minor, and Tiger Please (to name a few) the band have developed a loyal fanbase spanning the whole of the UK and beyond - and with a 21 date summer tour on the horizon they are showing no signs of slowing down.
The band released a self produced demo album, "Secrets", in June 2010 off the back of two other demo EP's and saw lead single "Scream!" go on to rack up over 50,000 plays on Myspace and Youtube combined. Described by Ourzone Magazine as "a shining example of what being in a band is all about" the album still provides the bulk of material for the band's live shows. In March 2011 A Day Overdue released their first studio recorded material, with the single "From Now On" selling out of limited edition physical copies in one week and rapidly becoming a favourite among fans and casual listeners alike.
A Day Overdue competed in the 2011 Red Bull Bedroom Jam, winning a Live Show alongside respected bands such as Makethisrelate, Autumn In Disguise and The Hype Theory and finished a very close second in the Festival Chart. Although the band were not selected by the judges to go on and play the festivals, they gained plaudits from a number of respected individuals and publications including Katie Parsons (Kerrang/Total Rock Radio) and Rock Sound, and were rewarded with a record deal within minutes of the competition closing.
After signing to independent label Only Sky Records in June the band are hard at work perfecting an all new stage show and demoing new tracks with a new EP expected before the end of the year.
A Day Overdue are on the rise; don't miss out.
"A warm, melodic pop-punk crunch with a side order of beefy bounciness" - KERRANG! MAGAZINE "Is it to do with pregnancy? Ah who cares, although if they become really successful they will be asked in every interview. That could get annoying... A Day Overdue... it's funny but I love it!" - ALEX GASKARTH, ALL TIME LOW
