It's tough to live up to New Jersey's reputation giving birth to bands like Saves the Day, Thursday, and My Chemical Romance, but A Hero From a Thousand Paces soon hopes to be added to the list of success stories. With their powerful pop rock sound and melodies you won't soon forget, the band has so far been well received everywhere they've gone. In just a year they have come as far as they could have. Their efforts, including recording a four-song demo and touring as far as places such as Michigan and Maine have gotten them signed to 1x1 music and are currently recording a full length album to be released in the summer of 2006.
"We learned everything we know from those that came before us. It's good to have predecessors so that you always know what's coming and you can be prepared for it," explains guitarist Jose Lopez.
The demeanor of A Hero From a Thousand Paces is always a positive one as it should be. The band's future is bright, and they'll go as far as they take it as they grow as a band, as individuals, and as musicians. They are determined to make music that they love with their fans in mind, and so far have succeeded in doing such. It won't be long before they are where they are currently working so hard to be, and you will be hearing much more from them in the near future.
Be sure to pick up a copy of their debut album "Mistakes" on 1x1 music in stores everywhere this summer.
