Again, For The Win (AFTW) is a great many things, but a simple story it is not.
An idea formed in early 2009 when Wayne and Travis met Carter - and with their former bands drawing to a close, that idea became reality. With the subsequent addition of Paul Anderson, the then four-piece recorded their debut 9-track album Bonus Deluxe Version in the winter of 2009 and the spring of 2010 in two parts that were released in the summer of that year. Bonus Deluxe Version can be purchased from most digital music stores, or downloaded for free from their bandcamp page.
After founding bassist Paul Anderson departed the group (and the country), Andrew Dalton (formerly of Isle of White) took over bass duties for the following year while the group supported Bonus Deluxe Version through high caliber local shows. Bobby Martinez (of The Scotland Yard Sale) joined as an additional guitar player in late 2010.
In April of 2011, Andrew stepped down from AFTW in order to focus on his newly-formed band, Presidents of Texas. Greg Dubinovskiy (Travis and Wayne's former bandmate) joined shortly thereafter.
The group signed to Deep Elm Records in August of 2012 and will release their sophomore full length record along-side their freshman debut (re-issue) on 08.08.12.
