Sweet enough to introduce to your friends but edgy enough to piss off your Grandparents, Say Vandelay has been paving their own course since the winter of 2006. Surprising audiences with high energy performances and pleasing fans and critics alike with superb music, the band is on the cusp of breaking out in 2009.
In their short career, the band has already been featured on multiple compilations, radio stations, and received such awards as “Favorite All Ages Group” two years running. Their first independent release, “The Photo Regret”, (available on i-tunes), gained the group a lot of positive attention, and the band signed to Wisteria Records in the fall of 2008. After hearing demos recorded from Ledbelly Studios, the band was contacted by Zach Neil, owner of famed East Coast Independent, and they signed to his label, Masquerade Recordings, in February of 2009.
Their first nationally distributed EP will be released on Masquerade Recordings on June 2nd 2009. The band will be featured on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour on the Kia Kevin Says stage.
