Brendon Thomas is a twenty-something country man; long legged, scruff faced, kind eyes. He is a multi-instrumental folk rocker who performs under the handle Foreverinmotion. Thomas was born and raised in the mountains of southern Vermont where, as a young teen, he taught himself guitar on an old Ovation his father traded a jeep for in the late 70's. Within a few years he was touring full time, and by his early twenties had established himself as a solo artist. He has since released three full length albums to widespread acclaim.
His new album Sunrise invokes a world entirely unlike the concrete island on which it was created: Thomas' new home base in New York City. The album is like a highway ride; a trip into wide open spaces etched by Thomas' poetic imagery and penchant for freedom. It revolves around intimate folk confessions, alt-country rock, and blues. Thomas' voice takes on a new depth on Sunrise, which is notable upon first listen to the majestic opening track, "Pulling Away." Throughout the record, his organic songwriting shines with honesty and integrity.
