To know and understand Park is to read between the lines, in a gray area that is hard to see with the bare eye. Seeing them play, isn't only about seeing a show and hearing some music. When you go to one of Park’s shows, it is genuinely something that you can feel. Don't expect to see four chickens with their heads cut off, when they are playing it's more about focus. Ladd [guitar/main vocals] is known for his eloquent lyrics, many times encrypted but applicable enough so that everyone interested can enjoy the ride. Most people who have been to any of their shows know that it's about the capacity in which they play. In more simple terms its about craft. No industry image is necessary when the product speaks for itself. They are often known as a band's band, for those specific reasons. Even though industry standards, markets, and sales will always exist, Miles sums it up, "music chose me." There is no denying that a lot of fervor is required, to get music sounding the way Park does. For Park, its about the experience of just getting to play, as well as trying to have a little fun. There is no bottom line with them. Ladd says it best himself, "It's just out of pure curiosity of what will happen next." They will be touring a majority of this fall, as well as working on some new songs. They will spend the winter finishing their new material for what will be their third album on Lobster Records. After displaying the dexterity of their skills, we should be expecting bigger and better things from Park.
