The song Moonshine is one of two songs recorded so far for The Stiletto Formal's yet untitled debut full-length album. The song was recorded last November in LA by Darrell Thorp (Radiohead, Outkast, Beck). The band plan on re-entering the studio in July with Darrell to finish the album.
The art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and quality" is how Webster describes the term music. Riding on this definition, The Stiletto Formal took hold of it, pushed it to the extremes and strives to perfect it. Jimi, Sunny, Nole, Shelly, Kyle and Paul's use of everything from an electric cello to cowbells and keyboards to drum machines, as well as the nearly standard guitar, drum and bass, take the basic elements of rock and roll to the extreme.
