The Billboard “Rock stars outshine the skylines, deep in the heart of Texas!” That line is belted by A Face For Radio, a pop-punk/hardcore outfit from Dallas, Texas who are out to take the scene by storm.
Steers, queers, and some of the best brewed beers around isn’t the only thing shining bright in Texas. A Face for Radio is creating their own buzz around the pop/rock hotspot that is Dallas with their own fresh blend of energetic pop punk fused to perfection with a heavy and aggressive foundation.
Although new to the industry, the band’s major accomplishment came when they were selected to Ernie Ball’s Battle of the Bands stage for the Dallas date of Warped Tour. The best part? They didn’t even have 8 shows under their belt.
They then followed Warped Tour selling their debut EP entitled E.P. Phone Home, featuring Tarcy from Artist Vs. Poet (Fearless Records), who sings on “Old Pictures of New Friends.” They long for the days when pop-punk meant something more than overly produced hook.
A Face for Radio look up to bands like MXPX, New Found Glory, Rufio and more to channel their brand of pop-punk that has depth beyond the simple love song. They pour their heart out in every single song, advocating messages for reform, hope, and friendship.
With several small tours under their belt, A Face For Radio will be hitting the road hard and heavy in 2011 in support of new music that will be out this summer. Be sure to check them out when they hit your city!
