The Billboard From the musical city of Seattle, home of the greats, such as Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam, comes The Medication; an Alternative-Punk band that is much more than an over-produced piece of trash. The Medication was born in former drummer Nick Del Degan’s garage in the summer of ’05 where he was joined by rhythm guitarist and vocalist Clay Schneider. Later to follow were the much needed bass lines of Tyler Heathman and the melodic guitar riffs of Michael Morris. The Medication is all about good music and listening to it.
In November 2008 Nick left the band to pursue other personal activities. After a long search for a drummer, Kenneth Perrault joined the band in January of 2009. The band played throughout the Washington area at venues such as the Firehouse, KTUB, Ground Zero, and El Corazon during this period while recording their next album titled “Gunshots And Memories.” Kenneth had to leave the band due to school, and David Cubine filled his spot on the drums. The Medication released their newest record “Gunshots And Memories” in July 2010 and it is now available at all major online music stores. After a several-month hiatus, the band got back to rehearsing and playing local shows. Bassist Tyler Heathman left the band in February and has been replaced by Will Houck of Seattle ska band Skam. The Medication is currently in pre-production for a new EP.
