Ethan Kaplan, writing on Medium:
One of the biggest issues in music is the assumption that people care about music. We assume that music is important to everyone universally. It is the backbone of a civilized society. It has existed since people banged stones together. The fact is, music is wall paper for most people. It is a thing in the background, but not the one thing they are passionate about. They like “that song” but other than a few “that songs” through the course of the year, they don’t really care all that much. Five records a year, that’s about it.

Graham Spencer, writing for MacStories, on the rumor that Apple may ditch the 3.5mm audio jack on the iPhone 7.
It's too early to tell whether Apple really will get rid of the 3.5mm audio jack on the iPhone 7 next year, but I think the real question is when will they get rid of it, not if they get rid of it. In my eyes, it's either going to happen in 2016 with the iPhone 7 or 2018 with the iPhone 8. I will be amazed, probably dumbfounded, if we get to 2020 and our phones still have the same 3.5mm audio jack. Although Macotakara implied that the reason for removing the audio jack is to make the iPhone thinner, I think the more likely reason is a combination of making it thinner, but...

Thom Yorke of Radiohead is apparently not a fan of YouTube.
The creators of services make money – Google, YouTube. A huge amount of money, by trawling, like in the sea – they take everything there is. ‘Oh, sorry, was that yours? Now it’s ours. No, no, we’re joking – it’s still yours’. They’ve seized control of it – it’s like what the Nazis did during the second world war. Actually, it’s like what everyone was doing during the war, even the English – stealing the art of other countries. What difference is there?

Noah Gundersen has released a new EP via Bandcamp for Young in the City.
Back in high school I was in a band called Beneath Oceans with my buddies Michael Porter and Keelan O'Hara. This last summer we reconnected to see if the old songs were still any good. They weren't, so we started writing new ones. Our friend Jeremy Buller joined us and we retitled the project Young In The City.

Today, we released our debut EP on Bandcamp. Pick it up today, pay what you want. We're just excited to share these new jams.
